1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Chomp Critters ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you play Chomp Critters (the "Game"), available on Google Play (package: com.chompcritters.game).

We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable data protection laws, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

By playing Chomp Critters, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Game.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device

Chomp Critters saves game progress directly on your device in a local file (player_store.json). This file contains:

• Coins earned and spent
• Player level and XP
• Unlocked animals and skins
• Selected skins and animal
• Music preference (on/off)
• Whether the tutorial has been seen

This data is stored only on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers. Uninstalling the game will permanently delete this data.

2.2 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or process:

• Your name, email address, or phone number
• Your location or GPS data
• Photos, camera, or microphone access
• Contact lists or social profiles
• Precise device identifiers beyond what ad networks require (see Section 4)
• Any personal data from children under 13 directly

2.3 Automatically Collected Information (via Third Parties)

Third-party services integrated into the Game (AdMob, Google Play Game Services) may collect certain technical data automatically. Please see Sections 4 and 5 for details.

3. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

3.1 No Direct Collection from Children

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13. The Game does not include registration forms, account creation, or any mechanism for children to submit personal data to us.

3.2 Advertising to Children

The Game is designated as a child-directed app in Google Play. As required by COPPA and Google Play policies:

• We use Google AdMob to display advertisements in the Game.
• AdMob is configured to serve non-personalized, family-safe ads only in compliance with Google's Families Policy.
• Interest-based or behavioural advertising is disabled for this Game.
• AdMob may still collect limited technical data (device type, OS version, general location by country/region) to serve contextually appropriate ads. This data is controlled by Google — see Google's Privacy Policy.

3.3 Parental Consent

Because the Game does not collect personal information from children, parental consent for data collection by us is not required. However, we recommend that parents review Google's privacy settings and, where applicable, use Google Play's parental controls to manage their child's app usage.

3.4 If You Believe a Child Has Provided Data

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us at [email protected]. We will investigate and delete any such information promptly.

4. Advertising & Google AdMob

Chomp Critters displays rewarded video advertisements powered by Google AdMob. Watching ads is optional and rewards the player with in-game coins.

4.1 What AdMob Collects

Google AdMob may collect the following types of data to serve ads and prevent fraud:

• Device identifiers (Advertising ID / Android ID)
• Device model, operating system version, and language
• General geographic location (country/region level — not precise GPS)
• IP address
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, watch duration)

4.2 Family-Safe Configuration

Because this Game targets children, AdMob is configured to comply with Google Play's Families Policy. This means:

• Only family-safe ad content is served
• Personalised advertising based on behaviour or interest profiling is disabled
• The app is tagged as child-directed with Google's ad services

5. Google Play Game Services

Chomp Critters integrates Google Play Game Services for the in-game leaderboard ("Top Chompers", Leaderboard ID: CgkI9NbJzdQHEAIQAA).

5.1 What This Involves

• If a player signs into Google Play Games, their score may be submitted to the Top Chompers leaderboard.
• Google Play Games is an optional feature — the Game is fully playable without signing in.
• Signing in requires a Google account. Google Play Games data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Leaderboard entries may display the player's Google Play Games display name publicly.

5.2 For Children

Children under 13 using Google Play Games must have a supervised Google account set up by a parent or guardian via Google Family Link. We encourage parents to review Google's policies for supervised accounts before enabling leaderboard features.

6. Data Storage & Security

6.1 Local Save Data

All game progress data is stored locally on your Android device at user://player_store.json (internal app storage). This file is not accessible to other apps and is deleted when the Game is uninstalled.

6.2 No Servers

Chomp Critters does not operate its own backend servers. We do not transmit or store your game data remotely.

6.3 Security

While we do not control the security of third-party services (AdMob, Google Play Games), those services implement industry-standard security practices. We encourage you to keep your device's operating system and the Google Play Store up to date for the best security.

8. Your Rights

8.1 Access & Deletion

Because we do not collect or store personal data on our own servers, most rights regarding data access and deletion apply to the third-party services listed above (primarily Google). You can manage your Google account data at myaccount.google.com.

To delete local game data, simply uninstall Chomp Critters from your device.

8.2 GDPR (European Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the GDPR including rights of access, rectification, erasure, and portability of your personal data. Since we do not directly collect personal data, please exercise these rights directly with Google for AdMob and Play Services data.

8.3 CCPA (California Users)

California residents have rights under the CCPA including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. 8.4 Opt Out of Ads Personalisation

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Game, legal requirements, or our practices. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
• Post a notice in the Google Play Store listing

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Game after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
